Angle

Another one from Newstead Abbey.

This is the first time I have seen this fountain, its hidden around the side, and many of the plants and trees near it are overgrown, so its like a secret fountain…. or it would be if it worked.  I was intrigued with how all the angles and curves worked together to make a such a lovely object…

You must have read the childhood classic, “The Secret Garden.” It is still one of my favorite books because I love coming upon hidden, unexpected things. This photo puts me in mind of it. It might be an illustration for the book.

It must have been gorgeous when it was working, but there’s something splendid and dignified about it as it is. I’m loving your series here!
