Yes, I’m doing better than last years effort 🙂
I dont know what this is for… but it seems to happen on a few bridges we cross over recent months…. padlocks appearing on the sides of bridges. This was a nice “collection” of locks on a bridge in Matlock in Derbyshire. Its just a small footbridge, hidden in a park, so I was surprised to see a group of locks on the side of this little bridge.
Weird they are just hanging there…makes for a great pic though…really like the shallow depth!
Does seem strange that they are just hanging there. Like Tammy says – it makes for a good picture.
Neat find but can’t imagine why there are so many!
A friend on Facebook told me the reason is this “There is a metal fence near the Golden Gate Bridge covered in padlocks. Couples and friends place them there as a symbol of there love and unbreakable bond”
Nice find. I love the symbolism.
Locks of love?????
right Mike, locks of love. Couples put it there and throw the key in the water. I’ve seen it in Riga (hundreds of them) and now you can find such in Stockholm to.
